Babes In The Wood

Online Creative were asked to provide full picture post (edit, grade & online) for the recently televised ITV1 documentary, ‘Babes In The Wood’. Part of ITV’s Crime & Punishment series, Atticus Pictures chose Online Creative’s edit suites for the 9 week offline. Darren Mostyn worked closely with director David Ward and Executive Producer John Hay to create a cinematic, dark, cold look for the images to tell the chilling story of the ‘Babes In The Wood’ murders.

New York seminar talking all things Editing!

Darren has just returned from delivering a seminar for Blackmagic Design at their USA open day in New York. The event was a showcase for all things Blackmagic, with Darren focussing on the editing application in DaVinci Resolve. 

Editfest London 2016

Darren was recently asked to talk about how Davinci Resolve has become a major part of  our workflow in 4k and editing. The event is organised by The American Cinema Editors (ACE). Guest speakers included Tim Porter ACE (Game of Thrones) , John Wilson ACE (The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover, and Billy Elliot) and non other than Paul Hirsch ACE (pictured below) who edited the original Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Ferris Bueller’s day off! 

The event, held at the BFI was completely sold out and a really great day! 

Gamescom 2013

We have just returned from 4 days editing on set in Cologne working with the fantastic team from Mediakinetic who put together the live stream for Call of Duty Ghosts from Europes biggest games expo, Gamescom.
We edited all the VT inserts and produced a highlights of the 1 hour show which was ready within 2 hours!

New TVC for Autumn 2013

Online Creative have secured the edit, post production, colour grading and deliverables for a major TV ad campaign airing in Autumn 2013. We are also providing on set DIT services for the Arri Alexa and will be colour grading with our portable Resolve system. There are very specific looks required for this commercial so senior colourist Darren Mostyn has been working with top DoP Graham Frake (Downton Abbey, Lost Christmas) to make sure that the entire workflow is good throughout.

Rose D’Or awards 2013, Brussels

We are in Brussels for this years Media Summit and Rose D’Or awards with our portable editing system. We are providing an editing facility for eurovision and producing a highlights package of the event for transmission straight after the event.

Call of Duty European Championships

We’ve been busy on site in Cologne in March, providing highlights for Activision and X-Box for the European ‘Call of Duty’ finals, with a top prize fund of $1million for the LA world finals in April.
We are currently producing 8 international versions. Produced by Mediakinetic, this is certainly one of the most adrenaline fuelled gigs we do!

Call of Duty launch wins IVCA gold!

The launch of best selling computer game ‘Call of Duty MW3’, produced by Mediakinetic and five by five has just won gold at the 2012 IVCA awards. We were very proud to have been asked to edit highlights live on the night as part of the Mediakinetic team. We had a fantastic night at The Grosvenor and celebrated the team win well into the early hours!!

AB InBev promos commissioned

Online Creative have been commissioned to produce a series of promos for AB InBev (Stella Artois, Budweiser, Becks). We have worked on AB InBev’s edits for over 10 years but this is the first opportunity to film the content. This promo work culminates in also producing a highlights film of their 4 day world conference at the end of March.
