Football Manager 2015 TVC – DIT, Edit, Post, Grade & Deliverables complete!

November 12, 2014

We had the pleasure of working with London ad agency Clinic/SJS on the latest TV commercial for Football Manager 2015. We provided on set grading and DIT services for the 2 day shoot with the Sony F55. For the complex stadium shot we collaborated with top Soho VFX house Munky.
The edit was completed by us whilst the VFX team built the stadium shots. Once composited we graded the footage in our Resolve suite on the new vesion 11 software. There was a lot of re-framing in this TVC to make sure we never see the managers eyes.
We then produced nine different versions of the commercial along with the international deliverables.
Account Director for the commercial had this to say about working with us –
Online Creative consistently deliver beyond our expectations, their production values, creative eye and attention to detail is second to none. We think of them as an extension of our team that truly understands the nature of our business and a clients needs, which allows us the freedom to focus on what we need to deliver. A truly safe pair of hands and a joy to work with.

We colour grade the World’s very first images from pre production Sony Alpha 7s camera

April 16, 2014

Darren Mostyn recently had the pleasure of being asked to do the entire post and grade for Den Lennie and the F-Stop Academy team for the worlds first ever promo shot on the soon to be released Alpha 7s from Sony. This promo was first shown to the world at NAB last week in Las Vegas. The camera is a full frame 35mm sensor. This promo was shot at 1920 x 1080 50mb/s but we also edited and graded a promo in full 4k from the pre-production camera. Our facility is now capable of post producing in 4k from start to finish.
The grade here was treated sympathetically, using Davinci Resolve V10, as the brief was to show the camera images off, in particular its amazing low light capabilities.

Arri Alexa Plus with anamorphic lenses grade

January 18, 2013

Darren Mostyn has been chosen once again by Angelic Films to grade their latest short film ‘Epitaph’ in January, shot entirely on the Arri Alexa Plus with anamorphic lenses. DoP on Epitaph was legend Trevor Coop who will be attending the grade in our Brighton suite along with Director Amy Coop. Having worked with Trevor and all the team at Angelic in the past on 35mm commercials, we are looking forward to seeing how they handle the Alexa Plus. Trevor’s credits include ‘Star Wars’, ‘Harry Potter’ and the original ‘Casino Royale’. Angelic films are a multi-award winning company based in Pinewood.

BBC Grading on DaVinci Resolve

December 21, 2012

December has seen us grading 3 more BBC documentaries. 2 x 1 hour on the ‘Art of the Riviera’, scheduled for transmission mid January. The third programme is called ‘Tales of Winter’ and is a beautiful 90 minute documentary directed by Spike Geilinger.
Once again our Resolve suite had no problem conforming and grading these programmes – delivered on time, on budget and one very happy Director!

Euphoria colour grade complete

June 21, 2011

We have just completed the colour grade on the new film, Euphoria, directed by John Howe. The film was shot entirely on RED. Our DaVinci grading suite once again gave us such flexibility in deciding a look for the film. The VFX shots were uploaded to our server during the grade and inserted in as they become available. Blackmagic design have put Online Creative on their beta test programme and the new software was put through its paces on this job. Some of the new features of the beta V8 software were employed immediately, notably noise reduction and stabilisation. The film will be hitting the festival circuit very soon.
